Our company, Tōei Chōkō Co., Ltd. (Aichi Prefecture), is a manufacturer specializing in the processing of cemented carbide, focusing on single items and small lot production. By manufacturing spline gauges from cemented carbide, we can expect improved wear resistance, which allows us to reduce the frequency of gauge calibration and replacement. [Concern] I want to create precise spline shapes and measure splines.

Spline shapes are widely used in industries such as automotive and aerospace. Since male and female fittings (joints) are always involved, it is necessary to verify their quality. The measurement points include, similar to serration shapes: 1. Major diameter 2. Minor diameter 3. Tooth surface The measurement methods are also similar. For male shapes: 1. Major diameter: Measured with a ring gauge 2. Minor diameter: Measured with a special ring gauge designed to avoid interference with the tooth surface 3. Tooth surface: Measured with a dedicated gauge using OPD or OBD For female shapes: 1. Minor diameter: Measured with a plug gauge 2. Major diameter: Measured with a special plug gauge designed to avoid interference with the tooth surface 3. Tooth surface: Measured with a dedicated gauge using BPD or BBD Our company can produce splines with a very high level of accuracy using inspection tools.
